Obviously we had a very exciting day today. NOT. haha. We didn't even leave the house today. My mom did go to the market to pick some stuff up. Including the 3 boxes of tampons that Ronnie is juggling in this picture =) Fun stuff!
Chris and I went to our favorite restaurant today for an early dinner. He always laughs at me because i LOVE the mints they have there. I always grab a handful when we leave and if Chris doesn't grab a handful as well, i make him go back inside to grab some =)
Oh man. The internet went down for no darn reason today. I have no idea what to do with myself when we have no internet. I get the sweats and I start to hyperventilate, it's not pretty. Luckily, I have a Sprint Wireless Card so we were able to get on the internet from that!
Sid is at the house this weekend so we wanted to take some pictures for him to give to his mom for her birthday next weekend. Together we made this cute little sign and took some pictures in the backyard.
Another Disneyland day! Barry, Veronika, mom and I spent the day in the park! This is Barry's 3rd visit on his 4 day pass so we tried to hit all the rides we didn't get to do the last time he was here. We ate immediately, like we always do, and when we were walking out of Hungry Bear Restaurant, Brer Fox was there greeting people and taking pictures! So of course we had to get our picture with him:
Ronnie, Chris and I went to eat at this really good sandwich shop type place today in Fullerton called Roscoe's. It was really good! I just got a pretty normal Turkey Sandwich with a side of fruit, but this thing was seriously HUGE! Here it is next to a standard size pepper shaker:
After a conversation with some friends on Twitter about cupicakes, i just really needed to make some. So i made strawberry cupcakes with Golden Oreos in the middle, topped with lemon frosting. I personally think they were the best tasting cupicakes i have ever made. I loved loved loved them! I ran out of cookies really fast (Golden Oreos are so good!) I made about a dozen regular size cupcakes and a bunch of little mini cupcakes. Here is one of the normal size ones:
I was sitting in my spot on the couch eating a snack tonight and Roxy was on the other end of the couch sleeping in her bed as usual. When I am eating something, she stares at me from the edge of her bed hoping that i will give her a taste of whatever it is that I have. Well, I guess she got sleepy while she was watching me eat because I looked over at her and this is how I found her sleeping! My poor puppy =)
A couple days ago, Ronnie and I were talking about Lawn Darts. Why we were talking about them, I have no idea. But today, Ronnie went to his friend Pappy's house to visit for a little bit and came home with Lawn Darts!! I guess they were in Pappy's garage and he had then in there. Ronnie told him how we just had a discussion about them, so he let us borrow them. They were in the original super old box too. Here I am throwing my dart. Ronnie and I played to 10. He won. Big surprise. Hehe.
Before I started scrapping as much as I do now, I used to read a book a week. In the past year, I have probably only read like 5 books. Maybe. So I decided it was time to read again. I love the Luxe Series and I had bought the last book in the series a long time ago, I just never got around to reading it. So tonight I picked it up and started reading. I forgot how much I like reading, lol. Hope to have it done in a couple days.
I mentioned last week that I went to Baskin Robbins to get some birthday cake ice cream and they were sold out of it. Well, tonight they had it!! It was just as good as I imagined it would be =) Ribbons of frosting and chunks of cake. Love this stuff. Of course I had to get it in a waffle bowl as well.
I mentioned a couple days ago how Granny and Ronnie have been playing Gin every morning since he came home. Well, now we have added the card game To Hell and Back to that list as well. Ronnie has taught me to play this game quite a few times, but I have always forgotten because we would play once and then never play again. So we tried again and now we play all the time. Everyday actually. Ronnie, Granny, my mom and I. It is actually a pretty fun game and when we don't get to play it makes me kinda sad. lol. Here is a picture of our score sheet from tonight's game. Ronnie won, but I have a feeling I will be giving him a run for his money once I get the hang of the game =)
So today was pretty interesting. Chris got a call from his uncle John this morning asking him to go to and pick up some fish that he was buying from someone on Craig's list. For those that don't know, Chris's family lives about an hour away from my house. So in order to get these fish, take them to his uncle and then come back to my house, we were pretty much going to be making an all day trip around southern California. We set out to Garden Grove to pick up the fish. I told Chris that if I was going to go with him to perform this illegal act, these "fish" are baby Piranha's by the way, then I was going to get to choose where we were eating. We picked up the fish, didn't get arrested and then headed away from Garden Grove to uncle John's work in Santa Monica to drop off the fish.
Once we dropped off the fish, we headed to Hollywood so we could eat at one of my favorite restaurants that I haven't been to in awhile, El Coyote! I love love love this place. They have a Tostada Salad that I would give my left arm for most days. It was the weirdest thing, while we were eating it started pouring the rain outside for about 10 min and then stopped. We had one giant rain cloud that came outta nowhere! We left El Coyote and it was so humid and steamy outside from the rain. Totally weird.
That is pretty much all we did today. I got my good lunch/dinner and I have the picture to prove it:
I love every other Friday! That means we get Sid! He has been really good about hanging out and watching TV with us instead of watching TV in his room and being non-social. He must have been super tired today because he passed out on the couch while we were all watching TV! Poor thing. =)
Ronnie seriously torments my poor dog. Secretly, I am pretty sure she likes it. She knows that if she puts up with it that he will give her a treat eventually. Here is a perfect example of what she does every time he looks at her:
Since Ronnie has been home we have been playing A LOT of card games. Every morning I wake up to him and granny playing Gin. These two are ridiculous. They are so competitive! Whoever wins ends up gloating all day long, lol.
Yep. This is a picture of what i ate today. I had McDonald's for lunch and then El Pollo Loco for dinner. Healthy right? haha. In my defense, I didn't want the El Pollo Loco. I actually went to Baskin Robbins to get the new Birthday Cake ice cream, but they were sold out of it =( I was depressed, so I took it out on a cheese quesadilla!
So on our Time Warner Cable, we have music channels. I think most people have these, but I really have no idea for sure. My mom usually listens to one of the many Country channels (usually Today's Country) and during a certain time of the day you can participate in the "Show Offs." To do this you send in either a text message or an email with a short little "shout out" and/or a picture! So while we were sitting in front of the TV today, I sent one in of Sid. He was sooo excited to see his picture pop up on the screen! So I took a picture of it for him =)
It was a good 4th of July today!! The whole family went over to Kathy's house for BBQing and swimming and hanging out. My friend Lily from work came over too and we had so much fun! I took a TON of pictures, but this one summarizes our day pretty well. Here is me, Sid, Lily and Veronika hanging out in the Jacuzzi:
Chris, mom, Pam and I got up bright and early this morning and headed to the movie theater to see Eclipse. They all loved it and just like with the other Twilight movies, I thought it was just ok. I am the only one that read the books before the movies came out, so I have my own vision of what the characters should look like and what they should act like. The people they chose for these movies are soooo not who I would have picked. =)
Lindsay came home from Vegas for the weekend, so she came over to hang out with us for a little bit! Chris and I took her to get Yogurtland for everyone. I love having Lindy around because she just LOVES to take pictures!
