Annnnnddddd We Are Back!!

I hope everyone had an amazing holiday!  As I mentioned in my last post, blogging this project was definitely the hardest part for me.  I have a photo from EVERY single day.  I never missed a day!!  I am so proud of myself. lol.  I also mentioned that i am gonna be  doing a project 52 for 2011.  I still might take a photo everyday, but i am not gonna feel guilty if i miss a day.  

With that said, has anyone checked out the site ShutterCal.com ??  I signed up for it and it seems awesome so far.  They have a link that you can embed on you blog so that when you upload your daily photo, it automatically updates on your blog as well.  So that is what I am gonna do.  Just not on this site.  I will be embedding the images and running everything off my other blog.

Bad Blogger!

In case you haven't noticed, I have stopped blogging.  Lol.  I haven't found the taking of the pictures to be hard, I have found the gosh darn blogging to be the hard part!  I wish I could have kept up with it, but I didn't, and I am more than likely not going to.  I just wanted to stop by and thank everyone who followed me and my pictures for the last year!!  We are almost done!  Well, with this year at least.  I do plan on continuing this project next year, but I think i might do the P52 instead.  That way I can focus on a couple pics for the week, instead of having to use a billion pics of the dogs or late night bowls of cereal.

When i eventually do finish my LO's for 2010 I will make sure to post everything here.  I am gonna try again with the weekly blog updates for next year, so if you plan on participating in this project again next year let me know so I can be on the lookout for your pictures as well!

A couple days ago Chloe started not feeling well. She wouldn't eat and what she did eat she would throw it right up. She had become lethargic and was not acting like herself at all. So today we took her to the vet. They ran a bunch of tests and did x-rays on her. Pam stayed at the vet with her and my mom and I went home. When Pam got home with her, she had a shunt in her leg and had it bandaged. The doctor told Pam that Chloe has something going on with her Pancreas. Chloe has to go back into the vet for the next 2 full days to have her system flushed out and whatnot. Hopefully she gets better.

I have said before that Roxy doesn't really like Uncle Ronnie very much. But lately, she has been very friendly with him. she knows late at night after she goes outside to go to the bathroom before we go to bed, he will give her a treat. He puts her up on the counter in the kitchen and gives her a little snack. Every night. This is what that looks like:

Ever since my mom hung the hummingbird feeder in the backyard I have been saying that I am gonna try to get pictures of the 10 hummingbirds that are always on the feeder. Today I finally did that! This was the best one I got. I am gonna work on getting a better one.

We got up bright and early today with every intention of heading to the Honda Center for Foodie Fest. It was a huge thing in the parking lot with over 50 gourmet specialty lunch trucks! We packed up the whole family and headed down. When we got off the freeway, we saw signs saying that Foodie Fest was sold out! I still don't know for sure if this was true or not, but there were soooo many people in line to get in! It was really hot and we had Granny with us, so there was no way we were gonna be able to wait and see about getting in. Next year, hopefully it will happen again next year, we will get VIP tickets so we won't have to wait in line and we will have shaded seating and whatnot.

Instead, we headed over to Islands for lunch. I love me some Islands. Great cheese fries and i can't get enough of their quesadilla's and passion iced tea.

Since I couldn't get the day off of work to go to the casino with everyone, I had Sid take my player card to use while he was on the slot machines. I have no idea why, but that kid always seems to win!

We picked Sid up a day early this week to he could go with Pam, Granny and my mom down to Pechanga Casino tomorrow. Of course the spoiled brat had a new van waiting for him. He just can't get enough of these things!

Yay for lazy Tuesdays! It was really hot today. The kinda hot that really makes me wish we had a pool. So instead, being the resourceful people we are, we had my mom bring home a couple cement tubs from work a couple years ago that we fill up with water, blow up some rafts and layout in. It is ghetto. I know. But it works =)

Today is Pam's birthday so we took her out to dinner. Around here, when it's your birthday you get to choose where we eat! So she chose Claim Jumper. We haven't eaten here in a really long time so it was a welcome change. Chris took the picture (which we all kinda laugh at because my mom looks like a giant!) so he is not in it, but he was there!

Today was fun! Family friends of our own a racehorse that was racing for the first time, so we all went down to Del Mar Racetrack to watch the races. We had a ton of fun (despite sitting in 4 hours to bumper to bumper traffic), we got to go down to the paddock and the owners area to see the horses, we sat in the owners seating and got to park in the owners parking! It was quite fancy shmancy! After the races we went to eat at a restaurant called Pamplemousse. The food was soo good! I had some pomme frits with truffle oil, asparagus soup and a goat cheese and lobster grilled cheese! It was a really fun, but really long day.

Kelly leaves to go back to Italy early Sunday morning so she came over today to say bye to everyone and hang out for a little bit. So we had a little photo session!

Ronnie has been making himself and my grandma tomato and pickle sandwiches everyday. Why? I really have no idea, but they like them. So, my mom picked them up these HUGE tomatoes. One slice is all that is needed for a sandwich, trust me. I posed Roxy with the tomato =)

It was a nice day outside today and while all I wanted to do was sit around the house and be a lazy bum, my mom and Ronnie headed to the beach! I told my mom to take the camera with her so she could get some beach shots for me. They said it was really nice and sunny, but when the wind kicked up it started to get really cold! After Bully gets a bath he always rolls around on the grass in the backyard. I love to watch him because he always rolls down the hill in our backyard on his back, it is hilarious! He doesn't like it when people watch him doing it though, so I had to make sure he didn't see me sneak outside to snap a picture!

Someone on ScrapMatters posted a coupon to get 3 free prints from a company called Persnickety Prints. So I ordered 3 12x12 layouts for free and since I was gonna have to pay the shipping anyway, i ordered 3 8x8's as well to see how they turn out.

I got them in the mail today and they are super gorgeous! I love the paper they used and the color looks great. The red on the 12x12's is a little darker than it should be, but that is really the only thing kinda wrong with them. I am super happy with the 8x8's, I think when I get a book made I will have it made in that size. The 12x12's are HUGE! I never realized how big they are!

The party could not have gone more perfectly! She was completely surprised!! We ate and mingled and took a TON of pictures. Aunt Donna even put together a list of questions and we all played a game to see who knew Granny the best! It was Ronnie that won the gift card, but we all let Sid believe that he won because he was really into this game! hehe.

We are throwing a surprise party tomorrow for the Granny's 85th birthday. She has no idea at all that we are having a huge get together at El Torito Grill with a buffet and whatnot. So tonight after she went to bed, which was pretty late, I had to weed through and pick out a bunch of photos to use in a big photo display that we are putting together for her party!

I have probably said it a billion times, but I just don't get how Chris can sleep on the floor all the time. He will fall asleep on the couch and then move to the floor? Who does that? haha. Today was kinda exciting! My mom and I headed out to Disneyland to meet up with a bunch of my scrap friends! It is always fun to get to meet people that you talk to all the time on the computer. There were people from ScrapMatters and people from MouseScrappers!

Chris and I went over to Frank and Sons Collectible Show today to look around. It is always fun to see the stuff they have for sale there. There are a couple vendors that carry the Vinylmations so I picked up this Miss Piggy for my Muppet series. Ain't she cute?!? =)

We rented the movie Kick-Ass today. At first I was like great! Another Chris movie =( lol. Boy was I wrong! I LOVED this movie! It was soo good we actually watched it twice! There is a 2nd movie in the works and I can't wait!

I got a message from my friend Heather this morning asking if I had any pictures of a garden/veggies that she could possibly use for a layout. I didn't have any on hand, but I rolled my butt out of bed and out to the backyard to take a few photos of some veggies we have growing. I got these super cute little signs for my mom for Christmas last year. There is a pepper's one and one for the tomatoes.

I am not particularly a fan of Jelly Beans, but I like being able to choose my own flavors of Jelly Belly Jelly Beans. I picked up a big bag of Peach, Pear and Watermelon one's yesterday at Downtown Disney. Needless to say, I have been eating them ALL DAY!

Went out to Disneyland with the cousins and my mom again today. Actually we went to DCA. It was a fun day, tried to hit all the rides that we didn't really get to last time. But that doesn't really matter now actually because Barry upgraded his ticket to a AP! yay! Now we can go all the time =) Barry and I are pretty competitive when it comes to TSM and Buzz Lightyear. He kicks my butt on Buzz, but I always manage to make up for it on TSM! I am gonna be sorry when he finally figures out how to do the "ring around the aliens" part. That is where I get ahead every time =)

Since i started collecting the Disney Vinylmations, i thought it would be wise to keep track of all the different ones i have. My memory comes and goes now a days, so i printed out checklists! I don't know why, but i didn't realize there were so many collections! Now i have a huge stack of checklists! haha.

Chris and I went out to lunch and a movie today! Some good spaghetti at the Macaroni Grill and then we saw Dinner for Schmucks! It was pretty funny. Not super funny, but enjoyable =)

Another Disneyland day! Barry, Veronika, mom and I spent the day in the park! This is Barry's 3rd visit on his 4 day pass so we tried to hit all the rides we didn't get to do the last time he was here. We ate immediately, like we always do, and when we were walking out of Hungry Bear Restaurant, Brer Fox was there greeting people and taking pictures! After a conversation with some friends on Twitter about cupicakes, i just really needed to make some. So i made strawberry cupcakes with Golden Oreos in the middle, topped with lemon frosting. I personally think they were the best tasting cupicakes i have ever made. I loved loved loved them! I ran out of cookies really fast (Golden Oreos are so good!) I made about a dozen regular size cupcakes and a bunch of little mini cupcakes. Here is one of the normal size ones:

I was sitting in my spot on the couch eating a snack tonight and Roxy was on the other end of the couch sleeping in her bed as usual. When I am eating something, she stares at me from the edge of her bed hoping that i will give her a taste of whatever it is that I have. Well, I guess she got sleepy while she was watching me eat because I looked over at her and this is how I found her sleeping! My poor puppy =)

A couple days ago, Ronnie and I were talking about Lawn Darts. Why we were talking about them, I have no idea. But today, Ronnie went to his friend Pappy's house to visit for a little bit and came home with Lawn Darts!! I guess they were in Pappy's garage and he had then in there. Ronnie told him how we just had a discussion about them, so he let us borrow them. They were in the original super old box too. Here I am throwing my dart. Ronnie and I played to 10. He won. Big surprise. Hehe.

Before I started scrapping as much as I do now, I used to read a book a week. In the past year, I have probably only read like 5 books. Maybe. So I decided it was time to read again. I love the Luxe Series and I had bought the last book in the series a long time ago, I just never got around to reading it. So tonight I picked it up and started reading. I forgot how much I like reading, lol. Hope to have it done in a couple days.
