Day 31

OK, today was a looooong day. It is my mom's birthday, so the day started out with getting Dim Sum for lunch with a family friend. Then we came home, changed and headed over to another family friends soccer game (which they won!). From there we met up with some more family, and the people from the soccer game, to go to a restaurant called Shogun for dinner. Shogun is pretty much just like Benihana, only better. I just think the food is better for some reason. So here is my picture for the day, the iconic "Onion Volcano!":

Day 30

We actually did stuff today!! Yes, it happens sometimes. I worked this morning, got home, got ready, then went to the Super Bowl Pool party for a pool that we are in this year. It is a giant hoopla and was kinda a pain in the ass. But, my picture isn't about that today, so we aren't even gonna talk about it =) We are gonna talk about the mother-freakin' Kogi Truck!! It is a lunch truck kinda deal. But they are at different locations all the time, so you have to go to their website to find out where they are gonna be that day. Today they were in my hood, so we HAD to go since i have heard so much about it. We got there and there was a line of about 100 people! We ended up having to wait about an hour and a half, but it was worth the wait in the cold. The food is primarily Korean Short Ribs. Sliders, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, etc. It was so yummy!! Day 29

Today was a pretty slow day. I worked this morning then Chris came and picked me up so we could go pick up my cousin Sid for the weekend. Sid is now in love with the music channel (he has always loved music, especially Elvis), so he would not let us watch tv in the living room all night. He just sat in the chair singing along with the Solid Gold Oldies channel. It was actually kinda amazing to see (or hear for that matter) that he knew almost every song! He is 23 with downs syndrome, but that kid has the best memory out of everyone i know. Day 28

So on Saturday morning, my mom slid on our hardwood floor and smacked the top of her head on the door frame leading into our kitchen. Technically it is her own fault for spilling her water in that same spot the night before, which led to her having to clean and polish the floor, which led to her slipping on said spot. Well, for the past couple days the bruise from the top of her head has been slowly crawling down to her face. When she woke up this morning it finally reached her eye! It is the weirdest thing because it came out of nowhere! I may or may not have laughed at her:

Today was a pretty boring day. Work. Scrap. Watched American Idol. That is about it! So today we are gonna go with another dog picture! Yay! We have already seen Roxy and Chloe. Individually and together. So today we are gonna go with the big man. This is the b-dog, otherwise known as Bully:

It rained again today =( But that didn't put a damper on our trip to the casino!! I LOVE gambling. Not in a "i need help" sort of way, but if i hear a slot machine, you better not be in my path because i will knock your ass out to get to it =) They are just way too much fun and so dangerous to my wallet. I can only bring a certain amount with me (an amount that i am willing to lose), because i can sit on those machines ALL day long. We were at Pechanga Casino for about 8 hours today! ok, that MIGHT be a problem. Who actually spends that much time at a casino right? Well, we do =) Because we love it. And i love this:

Finally! i got my nails done! i have been really bad about going regularly to get them done. But man does it feel good when i do go. Here are my toes, couldn't get my nails in there cause i had to hold the camera =) (duh!):


The color is called Louvre me, Louvre me not. It is a dark purple by OPI. I love this color =)

Finally no rain!! You would think i would have gone out and about on this beautiful sunny day, but no. I instead went through old picture boxes and pulled out photos to scan. We watched a couple of the Harry Potter movies because my mom has never seen them. Chris also finally fixed the door on my car! Thank goodness because it was really sucking to have to use the key to open just the passenger door all the time. So my picture is of the door lock being fixed:

Yet another rainy day in southern California. After i got home from work this afternoon my mom, Chris and i watched all 3 of the original Star Wars movies! They are some of my favorite movies to watch and what better to do on a rainy day? Here is my picture:

Ok. So i know i posted a picture of hail yesterday, but there was WAY more today and it was alot bigger! We finally got the thunder and lightning we had been waiting for, so we were all out in the front yard watching the show. Then the hail started. I didn't think anything of it until something (i think the hail) triggered the driveway light. It lit up my car, i saw all the hail and i ran for the camera. So here is my picture for the day. Today can be summed up in 2 words: more rain. It was an uneventful rainy day today. The highlight was that we had about 5 min of hail! whoo hoo. I managed to run outside with my camera and an umbrella to get some pics. You can kinda see the little pieces of hail, i think =)

Oh man is was a super rainy day here in southern California. We don't get rain here to often and when we do people start to freak out. Like seriously freak out. There was a tornado warning. Flood warnings. Freeway closures. You name it and we were warned about it. Apparently a tornado of some sort did touch down about 30-40 miles away from my house. I don't think that is a big deal, but for some reason the school system around here thought it was reason enough to close down the schools. The worst of the rain is supposed to hit tomorrow (like today wasn't bad enough) and they have already started evacuating people in the burn areas. I am sure some people are in some sort of danger, but when it starts to rain in southern California, watch out, because the south land as a whole forgets how to function. lol.

The only good thing that comes out of a rainy (actually pouring rain) day is nice pictures =) so here is mine for Day 19:

Day 18

Does anyone else feel like we have been doing this project way longer than just 18 days? I feel like i have been taking and posting pictures forever! lol =) Today was a very rainy day here in southern California, so there was not much going on. I followed the dogs around for a while today trying to get some good pictures of them. Roxy is the only one that will hold still for pictures, so i always have a ton of her. So i tried my luck on the other 3 that hate the camera. Every time i try to get pictures of Chloe she freaks out when she sees the camera, and if for some reason she will actually let me take some pictures of her, it never fails that i get one with her tongue sticking out of her mouth. Day 17

Today was the kick-off to awards season in our house! We love watching award shows and today was Golden Globes day. Every time there is an awards show on, i print out the nominees and we all make our picks. Then we plop down with some snacks and let the good times roll. Everyone puts in $1 and whoever gets the most right wins the money =) What? it's no fun unless there is money riding on it! lol. So here is my picture for the day, my aunt Pam who got 16 out of 25 right! Pretty impressive i think (we are still trying to figure our how she cheated! lol jk):

Day 16

Today was a pretty slow day until about 4pm when Chris decided that he wanted to go see the new Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln at Disneyland. So we hopped in the car and went down to Dland for Dinner and a show! lol. We got there, saw the show, which Chris loved (i could see the awe in his face the whole time) and then went over to Cafe Orleans to put our name in for a table for dinner. Luckily we only had to wait about 10 min. We had never eaten there before so, it typical Chris and Tanya fashion, we ordered almost everything on the menu. lol. We had an appetizer of fries, Chris got a french onion soup, i got a salad. Then for our main course, i got the Monte Cristo sandwich and Chris got a Monte Cristo sandwich and the Chicken Gumbo Crepe. All of it was super good. We had been dying to try the Chicken Gumbo Crepe ever since we saw Guy Fieri eat it when he went to Dland. I didn't take any pictures of the food, but i did get a picture of my man while we were waiting for the food:

Day 15

We had a ladies night tonight!! Cousin Kathy and Veronika came over to spend the night and watch movies. One of the best parts of them coming over is they bring the BEST donuts in the world, from.....The Donut Man. Seriously people, these are some of my favorite things ever. Although they usually have fresh strawberry and peach filled ones, today we just had the normal, always great donuts. Take a look at these bad boys:

Day 14

Today is Chris's 27th birthday!! We didn't do much of anything because we went out to dinner with the entire family last weekend, but i did manage to make him a cake! The fun, cheesy kinda cake I make him every year =) If i actually bought him a cake he would be upset because he likes it when i make the cake. So fine. I made a cake =) Here is my pic for today. Yay! A food picture! I take a picture of food almost everyday, but then decide against posting them for fear of making me like a complete heifer! But today, it was all i could think of for a picture! lol. So today we get some Boysenberry pie =) Which happens to be my favorite kind, so i guess that makes it ok. Tomorrow is my boyfriends birthday, so hopefully i will get some sort of interesting picture tomorrow!! See ya!

I love Tuesdays! For those that don't know, Tuesday is my Disneyland day. I try to make it a point to go to Disneyland or California Adventure every, although it usually ends up being every other, Tuesday. (I twitter from the park with pics and info and whatnot, so if you want to follow then go HERE). So it is safe to assume that on Tuesdays you will find a picture from the park as my pic for the day.

So today's picture is a rare one! I can't stand It's A Small World. The song, the kids, the line, the cluster of parked strollers, i hate it all!! While at the park today (which was pretty empty, thank goodness) i noticed that there was no line at all for the ride. So i braved it and got lots of great photos! Now i won't have to ride it again for a long time =) So here is my photo for the day:

Today was a pretty typical boring Monday =( Work, scrapping and TV watching. When i sit on the couch with my laptop scrapping and watching TV my pup pup Roxy is always next to me. Today was an exciting day! After much discussion and deliberation, my family has finally broke down and got a new TV for the living room! We all have flat screens in our bedrooms, but the living room has had the same normal (non-flat screen) tv for the past 10 years. The tv was finally wearing out, so we went out and got a new one today =) Not only that, but because the tv got hung on the wall it gave my aunt the excuse she needed to get 2 of the media consoles that she has been wanting from Pottery Barn. Here is our new super flat tv and media console:

I got a short and sweet one for ya today =) We went to Best Buy and Chick-Fil-A was giving away free chicken sandwiches! Yay for free food. To my surprise they had the cow there!! I love the Chick-Fil-A cow commercials! So here is Sid with the Chick-Fil-A cow =)

Welcome to day 8! Todays picture is of my aunt and my cousin (her nephew). My cousin has Downs Syndrome and he comes to stay at our house with us every other weekend, because his parents, my uncle and his ex-wife share custody of him. We hadn't seen him for a couple weeks with the holidays going on and whatnot, so we have him this weekend. We were just getting in the car to go out to dinner when my aunt pulled up to the house to pick everyone else up and meet us at the restaurant. But she was so excited to see him that she made us stop so she could get in a quick hello and a kiss before we left!

Day 7

I have made it a whole week! I have come to a couple realizations this past week of taking pictures.

1. I may have OCD. I have to use the same photo treatment on every photo, no matter what the photo looks like or is of, because i feel that everything HAS to be the same. God help me when i actually start doing LO's.
2. I am a procrastinator. (ok, i MAY have known this one already).
3. I thought it would be interesting to see what i do all year long, all i have established this far is that i spend to much time on the computer and don't leave my house often enough.

The first 2 i am probably not capable of changing, lol. But the last one, i am gonna try to make a point of finding something interesting to do at least once a week, hopefully more.

But for today, i got a kinda different picture? maybe? haha. This picture pretty much sums up my day today. I did work, but after work it was video game time. I got the new Super Mario Bros. for the Wii and Chris and I have been feverishly trying to beat it ever since. We are getting close. I hope. I love this picture because not only is he playing Super Mario, he is also wearing Super Mario. If you look at his pants he is wearing Mario pants! (the shirt has Mario on it too, but you can't see it =)).

So i totally forgot about taking a picture today. I didn't do much, so it never really crossed my mind. So i tweeted not that long ago "holy crap! i don't have a picture for 365 yet today!! i need ideas fast people, lol!!" luckily, i have some pretty great friends out there that gave me some suggestions. The winner was Heather with this tweet: "Take a pic of you tweeting. :P" She is so smart! Mostly because that really is what i did the majority of the day today, lol. Day 5

Day 5 here and today consisted of alot of action! Too bad i didn't take pictures of any of it!! =( I did manage to snap a shot of the Fringe marathon i had today! I have about 10 episodes i need to watch and i think i got through about 5 today. So that is what i took a picture of =).

Hey everyone! Welcome to day 4! Today was one of those days were i thought that i was gonna have nothing to take a picture of. I was like what? It is only day 4! This cannot be happening to me already. But never fear, in a house with 5 dogs there is always something to take a picture of. It is just a matter of finding the right moment.

So what did i do, never wanting to miss a moment, i grabbed the camera and followed the girls into the backyard on their potty break! lol. They have a routine, my crazy pups. They go to the bathroom and then they play. Holly stands on the patio barking at Roxy and Chloe. Roxy stands in-between Holly and Chloe like the moderator and Chloe just barks in Roxy's ear the entire time. Every time they go potty. Which brings me to the picture. This picture is a perfect example of Chloe barking in Roxy's ear, while Roxy is being the moderator between her and a non-visible Holly =) (does any of that make sense? lol).

Today was a very exciting day! I go out to Disneyland alot and i got the extreme pleasure of meeting Britt from Britt-ish Designs!! She is out here on vacation with her family and she was nice enough to let me go all paparazzi style on her! If you don't know who Britt is then you might either be living under a rock (JK) or you just haven't had the pleasure of seeing her amazing kits over at Scrap Matters (click to take a look at them=)) So with out further ado....here is my picture for Day 3....

Day 2 and i am still goin strong! lol

My picture for today is of my first Starbucks Iced Vanilla Latte of the year! I drink these ALL the time. So often in fact that, you see the cup? yep, that is my insulated venti tumbler that i got from my aunt for Christmas. Don't tell anyone, but i am pretty sure it was my favorite present this year =)

Here We Go!

Hey everyone! It is about 30 min into the new year and i decided that to help me keep up (or actually just remember in general) with project 365, that i would create a blog specifically for my picture a day! It sounds like a good idea right? lol, i guess only time will tell. I even went and got a journal to try and keep track of what i do each day and why i chose the picture that i chose for that day. So enjoy and if you are doing a 365 project this year leave a comment and let me know! That way i can follow you.
