I made my first ever hybrid project today! Actually my second, but i don't count the first one because they were just cupcake toppers. Those are too easy =) Today i made bottle cap magnets and i think they turned out pretty darn cute:

Oh man. I had read that because the MLB All-Star game was at Angel Stadium this year, there were team painted Mickey's all over the south land. The purpose of them was a contest sorta thing. If you got your picture will all 36 Mickey's then you could win tickets to the game, or something like that. At the last minute, I told my mom that instead of going out to Disneyland today, I wanted to go Mickey hunting. Just for the hell of it. I knew we wouldn't be able to get all of them in one day, so we chose to just find the ones in Anaheim. There were 12 in Anaheim alone, so i knew it was gonna take most of the day. I mapped out our route on the iPad and off we went. We hit up a couple hotels, the garden walk (where we also had lunch), the convention center, the Grove of Anaheim, actual Angel Stadium, Downtown Disney, the civic center and the museum. Camping day 4. Camping is very tiring. I officially do not like camping anymore. We woke up and got every packed and hit the road by 10am. By the time we got home and got everything out of the car and got Robert home, i had a massive headache and i was exhausted! So this is what i did the rest of the day:

Camping day 3. We had wanted to go back to the pool again today, but the marine layer just never cleared. It was cold, cloudy and windy all day long. It was my mom's turn to make dinner tonight so we spent a couple hours getting that prepared. We had her yummy spaghetti, garlic bread, an Alfredo penne pasta with broccoli and a anti-pasta salad. It was all pretty dang good. After dinner we just started to get everything cleaned up so that we could head out early the next morning.

Camping day 2. When i woke up this morning, i crawled out of the tent and asked were Chris was. My mom said that he had gone with his brother and my cousins for a walk. 20 min later i hear honking. I turn around to find Chris in a golf cart. He rented a golf cart for us to play with for a couple hours. It was fun being able to zip around the whole camp site and see everything without having to walk, lol. After we took back the golf cart we headed over to do some swimming at the pool. Kathy made her tacos for dinner and we all sat around the campfire just hanging out all night.

Camping Day 1. We got down to Campland at the Bay in San Diego and set up our campsite and tents. We had a look around the whole campsite and I must say, the place was pretty damn cool. Tons of sites, the beach, pools and jacuzzi's, a mini mart, ice cream parlor and a quick service restaurant! This place was barely camping, lol. Which is perfect for me. Our first day, instead of making dinner we went to a Chinese buffet in town. We love us some buffet =):

Chris dragged me to the $1 store today. I hate that store. There is nothing but crap and I find it to be a total waste of time. Today though, I managed to find come Nestle cookie dough that made chocolate chip cookies with caramel in the middle. For $1!!! I couldn't believe it. The cookies were sooooo good too! Notice I am "were" because we ate everyone of them already, lol. I might have to send him back for more soon =)

A couple weeks ago, a scrap friend asked me if I would take her brother's engagement photos for him (he is from Utah but is working out here for the summer). Of course I said yes, so I picked out a gorgeous beach and spent a couple hours there with him and his fiancee taking photos. They are a totally cute couple and I don't think I did too bad considering this was my first attempt at really shooting people, lol. I am more of a scenery shot type of person =)

My mom does not know how to make anything in small portions. I LOVE her spaghetti. It is probably my favorite thing she makes. When she makes the sauce, she makes A LOT of sauce and then freezes it in smaller containers for future dinners. Tonight she made even more than normal since we are taking some of it with us on our camping trip next weekend. There are about 7 containers in our kitchen fridge and 2 giant containers in the garage fridge. Here is the kitchen fridge:

Today I came home from work to find that ALL the dogs toys have been taken out of the container that we keep them in and thrown across the entire living room. Roxy had no problem admitting that she was the one that did it, especially since I found her laying in the middle of the mess! Silly girl:

World of Color officially opened at California Adventure this past Friday! I know myself, therefore I knew that there was no way I would be able to get there at park opening to get showpasses. Instead I went ahead and made Ariel's Grotto dining package reservations for my mom, Chris and I. This was perfect for us! We got to the park around 3pm, got on a couple rides, at dinner (which was very yummy) at 5pm, finished dinner, went to the lockers to get our jackets and then headed back to the show area to get in line for our seats. We were the first ones let into the area and we managed to claim an area on the stairs which will be perfect because no one will be blocking our view. This is waited for 2 hours until the show started. We made friends with the people sitting around us and i got myself and my camera waterproofed and ready for the show =)

The show was really good! I thoroughly enjoyed it and was very happy that we did the dining package. Here is a picture of Mickey's Fun Wheel all lit up with color before the show:

I usually do not go to bed till about 4am Mon-Thur. The weekends i usually go to bed earlier, but i do most of my work during the week and it always keeps me up really late. Roxy does the same thing every night as well. She sleeps in her bed on the couch next to me till i am ready to head up to bed. Then i wake her up and tell her it is time to go potty. She goes outside to go to the bathroom and when she comes back in and stands on the stairs looking at me with her sleepy, can we please go to bed now eyes. She waits there until i turn off all the lights and then she heads the rest of the way up the stairs. She is a silly little thing =)

Chris has really been wanting to see the movie "Get Him To The Greek" so we went to see it today. I LOVE Russell Brand, but this movie was not very good. It has a couple funny parts, but over-all, not very good.

I cannot even begin to describe how obsessed Roxy is with coffee. I know it is bad for her, but this dog seriously has an iron stomach. Nothing bothers her. Whenever we go to Starbucks, which is a lot, she goes spastic trying to get to our drinks. Iced Vanilla Lattes are Roxy's heroine. There is really no other way to put it. Even when you give her some, she relaxes for about 2 min and then she is back in your face trying to get another drink. The only way to get her to stop is to actually finish the drink in front of her. She has to physically see you finish it. Then she will go lay down. My dog is insane. For coffee. =)

Poor Chloe had to go to the vet this morning to have her teeth cleaned. She has the worst teeth. No matter how many times they clean her teeth, every time she goes in she has to have teeth pulled. The poor dog doesn't have any teeth in the front of her mouth. I am pretty sure she has a couple random teeth and that is about it, lol. The dogs are so funny when they get home from having their teeth cleaned because they are just so out of it, their tongues stick out of their mouths and all they want is to be held. My mom and aunt called me on their was home from work today and asked if i wanted to go see Sex and the City 2 when they got home. I liked it! It's silly and fun and everything i expected it would be =) When we were leaving the movie theater i saw this super cute poster for the new Toy Story 3 movie! i couldn't help myself, i just had to take a picture of it! =)

Well well well, look what arrived today!! We finally got our new couches!! No more air mattress, no more pillow on the ground and no more ugly loaner couch! The new couches were in the house all of 30 min and my aunt had already whipped together some cushion covers for them so they don't get full of dog hair, lol.

Chris was working on one of the cars again today, so i sat outside and watched him for a while. I brought out Roxy and the camera, but when i went to take pictures of her, all she wanted to do was sit on my lap. So i had to take this picture holding the camera out to my side while she was sitting on my lap, lol. I think it turned out pretty good! =)

A couple days ago my cousin Veronika called and asked if we wanted to come watch her Jiu-Jitsu tournament. She has been taking a Jiu-Jitsu class at college and her "final" for the class was a tournament. She did really well! She came in first in her weight-class for females. It was a good time and i think she was really happy that we came to watch her!

I got up today and called Chris. I found out that he got to his appointment in Downtown super early and had time for lunch! So i hopped into the car and met him for lunch at our favorite Chinese restaurant, Chinese Friends! It is in Chinatown, which i love. Good food and good shopping! =)

Whoo!! We have hit the 6month mark! This is so exciting.

I love Hello Kitty. Yes, sometimes I am a 5 year old child. My mom brought me home this super cute box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts with Hello Kitty on the box! I guess she found a ABC Store in Vegas and went crazy, lol. I ate the candy, but had the hardest time throwing out this super cute box!

Chris and I got up early today to get the house cleaned up before the rest of the family got home. There is nothing worse than having a relaxing evening only have them come home and start screaming and yelling, lol. Once we finished cleaning, we just hung out. Our dog Holly is EXTREMELY attached to my grandma and more recently, my mom as well. Whenever they are gone for more than a day she gets sad and depressed. She didn't eat at all yesterday and she barely ate today. She is such a pathetic little thing, all she has done for 2 days now is mope around the house!

We also watching the movie "Leap Year" today. I LOVED it and I am even more in love than I was before with all things Irish =)

My mom, aunt and grandma went out to Vegas today to visit my cousin for the weekend. Chris and I stayed home with the pups. It is so nice to have the house to ourselves for a couple days. We watched movies and ordered in dinner, I even made cookies!!

Had a checkup at the doctors today at 2pm, so i pretty much didn't roll out of bed till about an hour before i had to leave! I love getting to sleep in on Tuesdays =)

For the past.....hmm.....year? maybe, the belts in the car have been squealing. So, for the past....hmm....year? Chris has been saying he is gonna change them. It is so embarrassing when i start my car. They were so loud one time, that while at a drive-thru the person taking my order asked me to turn off my car because he couldn't hear what i was saying over the belts on my car! lol. So today Chris changed them for me!! No more squealing =)

Today was pretty active! Yes, sometimes i do get out of the house and go someplace!! lol. The whole family went out to a early dinner at P.F. Changs today. We got a bunch of gift cards for Christmas last year and we finally found a time to go and use them. Dinner was really good, i haven't been to P.F. Changs is quite sometime, so i forgot how good it is! After dinner we went to the cupcake shop Dolcissimo right across the way from the restaurant. Incase i have never mentioned it before, i am OBSESSED with cupicakes! (yes, i call them cupicakes). We got a dozen of them to try since we have never been to this cupcake place before. We got a couple different chocolate ones, red velvet, tiramisu, pumpkin, snicker-doodle and cookies and cream! They were all really good. The snicker-doodle ones were my favorite. I think the red velvet at Sprinkles was better, but they were good none the less.

After we got the cupicakes, we walked around the outdoor shopping area we were at checking out the different stores. Sid wanted a new wallet (for what, i have no idea) so we were on the lookout. We found a couple different ones but he fell in love when he saw the black and white checkered wallet at the Vans store.

After we got home, we vegged the rest of the night in a Chinese food/cupicake coma!

So we called up the couch company a couple days ago and bitched them out until they agreed to send us a loner couch to use until our couches arrive. They delivered it today and thank goodness it is just a loner because it is the ugliest couch ever. lol.

While at work today my mom called me twice! She never calls me at work so i started to get a little worried, but we were so busy that i didn't have a chance to call her back. When i had a chance i frantically grabbed my phone to give her a call, instead she sent me a text saying this: "Don't eat, IKEA meatballs for dinner." HAHA, she seriously called me at work twice to tell me that. My family is insane. Though i am glad she did tell me because i sure LOVE me some IKEA meatballs!!

Mom and I went to the movies to see Robin Hood today. I didn't think i was gonna like it but i really did!! I was entertained the whole time and i loved that the movie is about how he became the Robin Hood that we all know and love.

In my April 5th post, i wrote about how we had ordered new couches and sold our old ones. I also mentioned that i have been sitting on the floor working and that we have inflatable air mattresses as our couch, till the new ones come in.

Well, the whole new couch deal has been a huge pain in the ass. The new couches were supposed to be ready in 6 weeks. It has now been over 2 months and we still have no couches. 2 weeks after they were supposed to be delivered, we called to see what the hold up was. They told us that the fabric we chose was back-ordered and that the FABRIC would not be in till the beginning of June!! WHAT!?! Then after they get the fabric they still have to make the couches!

Not to self: NEVER buy anything from Bassett Furniture ever again.

I take a lot of pictures of my dogs. Well, primarily Roxy, but that is because she is the only one that will cooperate and she is the most photogenic =) She seriously is the best at taking pictures. A good example is the picture i took of her today. I can literally shove the camera right in her face and she won't budge. If she tries to move, i give her a little eh, eh and she lays right back down!

Oh man. The party turned out fantastic today! We were actually able to surprise her.

We got up early today and finished up what we needed to finish as far as food and what not. Then we headed over to cousin Kathy's house. Her sister and niece got her out of the house a little late to go run errands and go to the mall, so all the decorating and people showing up had to wait until then to get to the house. It all worked out in the end though, because we managed to keep approx. 80 people quiet and completely surprise the hell outta Kathy! Her face was priceless =)

The rest of the party was perfect as well. Great food, great people and great fun. Here is a picture of the birthday girl with her favorite present (which she received about 10 of!!):

Tomorrow my mom's cousin Kathy is having a surprise birthday party thrown for her by her husband. We have been helping with the planning of this party for months now, so today was party prep mode. Kathy is soooo hard to surprise. I mean, really hard. Her birthday was actually yesterday and she thinks that her surprise was her sister and niece from Seattle showing up on her doorstep. That was just a decoy =) hehe. My mom and I cooked and baked all day today. We made jambalaya, salad, ordered 15 lbs of craw-fish to be picked up in the morning, made fruit skewers for hurricanes, etc, etc. Oh, and in case you didn't figure it out, the party has a Mardi Gras theme. lol.

Chris was having some car trouble on his way to work today, so before he left the office he was taking a look at some stuff under the hood of the car and sliced his thumb pretty good on something. Not enough to need stitches or anything, but still gross. He does this A LOT. Chris is always cutting his hands or arms on something. He also refuses to let me ever put a band-aid on anything. To this day he still complains about the ugly scar on his arm from a slice that he got a few years ago and wouldn't let me put a band-aid on.

So today, since he wouldn't listen to me, my mom screamed and yelled at him until he let her clean and dress the wound. Let me tell you, he was the biggest freaking baby about it too. All night, all i heard were comments like these:

"my thumb is sweating under the band-aid"
"i can't press the remote control buttons"
"the cut isn't gonna heal if it can't breathe"

Worked this morning. It was actually a pretty good day at work, so i can't complain. Like most Wednesday's and Thursday's, after i get home from work i spend the rest of the day getting scrap work done. Today was no different.

I did notice though that i now how 10 Vinylmation Mickey's!! I would have more but i am really picky about getting them. That is actually gonna change soon now that they are doing the Vinylmation Trade-in program thingy. But back to me having 10 of them. I only need 2 more to fill a case! I really want the display case for them, but couldn't really justify getting one for only the 4 Mickey's i had. But i have gotten a few more every time we go to the parks and now i am getting close =) Here is a picture of the ones i have:
