Day 120

Tonight Chris, Pam, Mommy and I went to pick Sid up so we could take him to cousin Trey's baseball game. We picked Sid up early so we stopped at Islands for some dinner. I just LOVE the quesadilla there. I never get sick of it! Which is amazing considering I worked there for 3 years in my early 20's. After dinner we went to Trey's baseball game. It was such a good game!!! Trey is 10 and such a good player! His whole team was great and I thought for sure they had it in the bag and the other team got the winning run at the very end of the game =( I am sure we will be going to another game soon, so hopefully they win the next one!

Here is a picture of Sid and Chris as we were getting in the car after eating at Islands:

Day 119

Another day full of scrapping after I got off of work. I did manage to get some pictures of the dogs while sitting at the computer. Here is one I got of Holly:

Holly is the alpha female. Or so she thinks. She is the smallest of our dogs. She is overweight for her size, weighing in at 5.5lbs. She normally weighs about 4lbs. She thinks she is a Great Dane.

Day 118

When I got home from work today my mom and I made some green chili chicken tamales. They are soooo good =)

After the tamale making, I had such a bad headache. I tries to take a little bit of a nap, but my dang diet pills just were not gonna let that happen. So after 2 hours of just lying awake in the dark, I got up and tried to get some scrapping done instead. I pretty much just browsed the internet instead since I couldn't quite concentrate enough to get any work done. lol.

Here are the tamales:

Day 117

Nothing much today. Didn't work and didn't get out of my pj's. This coming up weekend is National Scrapbooking Day, so I have a TON of work to do. This week is gonna be tiring. lol.

One thing I love about dieting is all the fruit that we have in the house! We have been buying this awesome little oranges called Cuties. They are super good and perfect for a snack! Plus they have super fun stickers on them =)

Day 116

Today started out good and then turned to crap fast.

I didn't have to work today. Good. My cousin Barry came over to interview my mom, my grandma and me for a music class he is taking at school. Good. After that, i went and got my nails done. Always good. I got a haircut! For someone that does hair, it is ridiculous that i haven't had a haircut for at least 6 months. I love getting haircuts. Good. On my way home from my haircut, i get a call from Chris saying that his uncle died. Crap.

I have only met his uncle a handful of times and he was a great guy. Chris is taking it pretty hard. This particular uncle is Chris's dads twin brother. They were really close and his death was unexpected so that always makes it harder.

So that was my crazy day. Here is a picture of my haircut:

Day 115

My cousin Lindsay that is in the Air Force, just recently moved from Charleston to Las Vegas. It is awesome having her only a couple hours away, not a 6 hour plane ride away. She came down this weekend for her mom's birthday, so we all went out to breakfast today. We went to Arthur's. They are only open in the mornings and they have the best breakfast.

After we got home, it turned into the normal Sunday of housework. As in Chris does a bunch of housework and I sit on the computer scrapping. lol. I love Sundays.

Here is a picture of Chris, Lindsay and I at breakfast:

Day 114

Today Chis and I lounged around the house all day. lol. I know, weird right? haha. Our anniversary is tomorrow, so we went out dinner tonight. We went to Macaroni Grill. I LOVE the Macaroni Grill!! They have the best bread and the best spaghetti. There is nothing i love more than spaghetti. It was a great dinner and i always appreciate the time that we get to go out, just the two of us, because it doesn't happen very often.

After dinner we rented the movie Law Abiding Citizen. It was really good! The ending was a little weak, but as a whole i enjoyed it a lot.

My picture for today is from the restaurant. One of the fun things about Macaroni Grill is that you can write on the tables =) I love places that cater to the big kid in all of us, lol.

Day 113

Another typical Friday night in my exciting life! lol. Otherwise known as: we did nothing. lol. We did watch the movie What Happen To The Morgans. I liked it. But i am partial to Hugh Grant movies because i just love him. It was cute. Took some funny pictures of Chris tonight, so here is one:

Day 112

Nothing real exciting to report today other than rained today! In California we get random days of rain. It could be 85 degrees one day and the next day it will rain. Today it rained and it was a FREEZING and windy rain. It was not pleasant at all. It was so cold that we turned our fireplace on for the dogs to lay by.

Day 111

I went back to work today. Thank goodness it wasn't very busy because after being on my feet for a couple hours, my toe was starting to ache really bad.

After i got home, my mom and i had to go pick up the pups at the vet. They got their shots, their teeth cleaned and their nails trimmed. There was a bit of a scare with Chloe, our oldest pup, when they put her under anesthesia. The oxygen levels in her blood dropped really low, so they had to bring her out of it. So her teeth didn't get cleaned today. Instead they ran a bunch of other tests on her to try and figure what happened. Roxy, my pup, had a skin tab removed from her eye which ended up being deeper than they thought, so now the poor baby has a couple stitches in the corner of her eye.

Other than that, the rest of my day was filled with scrapping and TV watching. Which is my picture for today! One of my favorite show started last week, The Tudors. It is the last season for it to be on =( I hadn't watched the first episode yet of this new season, so i watched that and the second episode was up on demand as well, so i got to see both!

Day 110

Oh man. Most days when i say i did nothing, that usually means i went to work and then came home and did the usual stuff. Just nothing out of the ordinary. But today, i seriously did NOTHING. No work, toes is still hurt and i didn't even get out of my pajamas.

I did call the doctor about my x-rays this morning and she said that she didn't see a break, but that i should still keep it wrapped until it starts feeling better. So that is a relief, because a cast would have been horrible! I also forgot to mention yesterday, that when they weighed me at the doctor, i found out that i have lost 5 and a half pounds =) So my diet is going well!

My picture for today is of the only shoes that i can wear without causing any pain to my poor toe. lol. My fun fuzzy booty slipper things:

Day 109

I called the doctor today to see if they could get me in to look at my toe. I have kept the toe wrapped up and when it is like that, there is little to no pain. But when i take the wrapping off, the bruising is gradually getting a little worse and every little movement hurts a little. So the doctor took a look at it real quick and then sent me over for x-rays. Since my appt. was late in the day, i won't be able to get the results of my x-ray till tomorrow. The doctor did say that if it is broken towards the end of my toe, then all i can do is keep it wrapped until it heals. If the break is further down my toe closer to the rest of my foot, then my foot will have to be put in a cast!!! Wha?? That would be NO BUENO! Lets hope it isn't that extreme. I will let you know tomorrow =)

Our dog Chloe, she is kinda the weird one (she gets freaked out easily. i.e. flashing lights, the tv, the vacuum etc.), has had one hell of a time going up and down the stairs ever since we put in the hard wood floors. Usually we have to carry her up and down the stairs. Almost everytime she comes down the stairs she gets going too fast and then either slides or tumbles down the stairs. Going up the stairs, she takes off running and then ends up skidding out and falling back down. lol. She is crazy.

So when my aunt came home from work today, she said they put in a new pet store by her work and she bought Chloe a present. She got her non-skid socks for dogs!!! They are the funniest things ever. Chloe is not a fan of wearing clothing. When you put clothes on her, she just stands there. She won't move. She won't sit. Nothing. So we put the socks on her and at first she wouldn't move. Then we started calling her and when she moved she was doing that weird foot kicking thing that animals do when something is on their feet. Then she kinda got used to them! She went up and down the stairs with no sliding at all, lol. She still didn't really like them, but we will work on that. She is a small dog and she is 10 years old so all that falling up and down the stairs can't be good for her, so anything to help with that is nice.

Here is Chloe is her socks =)

Day 108

Not being able to walk is proving to be ALOT more difficult that i thought it would be. At first, i was like Yay! i get to sit around on the computer all day and do nothing. Has anybody ever done that? Because after a couple hours, my poor butt was killing me!! I tried my hardest to not do any walking, keep my foot up and keep it iced, but that is just not very realistic. I had to get up and walk around a little bit every hour, lol.

Other than that, nothing real exciting happened today. My picture is of my sweet pup pup. When you hold a treat above Roxy's head she does this really cute little sit up. It is one of her newest little tricks that she taught herself:

Day 107

So today was pretty eventful, to put it mildly. I got up at around 7am to take Roxy outside and when i got to the bottom of the stairs, my left foot still on the last stair and my right foot on the ground floor, my right foot slid on the hardwood floor straight out while my left leg was trapped under my big ol' butt behind me. I was too tired for it to really hurt and landing on my butt never really hurts thanks to the extra padding i have there, lol, but what did hurt was the toe that my behind landed on. See, while my foot was facing behind me, my big toe decided it wanted to go forward and then i landed on it. I jumped up and thought, oh man that really hurt my toe, but i took Roxy out and then went and got back into bed. After a couple more hours of sleep, i woke up to my toe throbbing. I got out of bed and could not walk on it at all, it hurt way to bad to bend it. It was already starting to change color so i bandaged it up, what else can you really do?

We already had tickets to go to the pet expo today at the Orange County fairgrounds and i didn't want to miss it since i love going so much, so i took my grandmas wheelchair and had Chris push me around the expo. lol. This turned out to be awful. I should have just stayed home. It was hot and i never thought that sitting in a wheelchair would make my butt hurt as much as it did. I had to get out of the chair ever 15 min or so because i couldn't stand it. Going into the different pavilions was horrible as well. It was so crowded that the wheelchair was super hard to maneuver and it was even worse trying to prevent people from hitting my poor toe!!

So after that exhausting outing, we came home, got some El Pollo Loco for dinner and relaxed the rest of the night. Here is a picture of my toe after we got home from the pet expo, before i re-wrapped it:

Day 106

Yay, it's a Sid weekend. I love weekends when my cousin Sid is at our house. My mom made some veggie wraps (sooo good) and we watched Planet 51. Cute movie. Not great, but not bad either.

I know i have mentioned before that Sid's main love in life are Hot Wheels. He has thousands of them, but lately he is obsessed with vans. For the most part they are all modified VW Buses. But by modified, i mean they are hand painted, limited editions and are not cheap. He loves them and we love making him happy. When ever we get a new one for him, they always come in a display case. We tried at first to convince him to leave them in the cases, but that didn't really fly. He doesn't destroy them, but eventually they do get the normal wear and tear from being in his pocket when he transports them from his house to our house. So today, my aunt bought him a pack of baby socks to put each car in and then put in his pocket so that they do not scratch each other. He thought this idea was brilliant!! He promptly sat down and started putting them in the socks and then thanked aunt Pam because it was such a good idea:

Day 105

About 8 or 9 years ago uncle Ronnie bought a 1930 Model A. It ran perfect and was in great condition! He wanted to start taking it apart and getting things redone (i am not sure of technical car terms, lol) so he could turn it into a hot rod. He took the car apart, got a new motor, had the body redone, blah blah blah. All within the first year of having the car. Then like with most things that he does, he lost interest. So the body for the car has been sitting in his garage and the motor has been on a stand in his house for like 7 years. When he came home a couple months ago, he decided he was gonna sell the body of the car. Being the procrastinator that he is, he put it up on ebay a week before he was set to leave again. It sold to a dude in Washington in just enough time for my uncle to tell the guy that he need to some and pick it up and that Chris will be the one he needs to talk to about the car since he is leaving the next day for Thailand.

After a huge ordeal, we got the body of the car to our house. Then the guy that bought it took forever to get the shipping figured out, so the car sat in our drive way for almost a week. Then finally someone came to pick it up today. We had to round up some neighbors because we have no men that live in our house, to help get the car onto the truck because it is just the body, no tires. I made sure to take pictures because they way it was on this truck did not look safe, but the guy already paid and was told that it was his responsibility to provide shipping. So i needed to document that the car did leave our house in one piece. Anything that happens after that is not our fault. lol.

So here is the car on the truck, goodbye Model A!

Day 103

Mom and I went to the movies today! We saw Shutter Island. It was alright. Leo's acting was good, but like with all Martin Scorsese films, when it ended all i could think was "what the?" I think if you want to see this movie, wait for it to come out on DVD and then either rent it or borrow it from someone because i didn't really think it was worth buying. lol.

Day 102

After I got off or work today, Chris and I went to the diet doctor. Summer is coming up and it is time to drop a little winter weight, lol. The medication I get from the diet doctor consists of appetite suppressants, fat burners and water pills. I don't usually take the fat burners or the water pills, just the appetite suppressants to help me with portion control because that is one of my major problems. So in one week, i will weigh myself and see how much i have lost. For now, here is a picture of my diet pills in the bucket of candy that I ended up throwing away =) After i ate a piece or two of course, lol.

Day 101

Today was awesome!!! I got up this morning and Chris said he wanted to go to Best Buy. We got there and said he wanted to buy me an iPad as a early anniversary present! YAY!! I have been wanting one really bad =) The first Best Buy we went to was sold out so we went to another one. They were sold out as well, so we had them call around and managed to find a Best Buy that had 4 in stock. After getting stuck in traffic for almost 45 minutes, i finally got my iPad! I love it =) Needless to say, the rest of my day was spent playing with my new toy!

Day 100

Day 100!! Woot Woot!!

I had to work this morning =( I hate working on Saturdays, so i try not to do it very often, lol. The rest of the day was spent not doing very much at all.

I don't know if i have ever mentioned it before, but Chris sleeps more than any other person i have ever met. I thinks he sleeps as much as the dogs. If he sits down for more than 5 minutes then he will fall asleep, it doesn't matter where he is. A chair, the floor, an airplane (he sleeps through take-offs and landings) and he even fell asleep on a park bench at a family birthday party not too long ago.

I took this picture because a) he was sleeping as usual. b) it was only 7:30pm and c) sometimes he sleeps in the weirdest positions. Looks like he was "thinking" while sleeping today:

Day 99

I finally got to see The Blind Side today. Such a good movie!! I cried a couple times and i laughed a couple times and when it ended all i could think about was how much i loved it. Highly recommend it if for some reason you have not seen it yet.

Day 98

Everytime I get up from where i am sitting, Roxy decides she is going to keep it warm for me while i am gone. Still having no couches, when she takes my seat now, i can't just sit somewhere else because there is nowhere else to sit right now! Today she just looked so darn cute that i didn't have to heart to move her, so i ended up sitting on the floor next to her the rest of the night, lol.

Day 97

Not to much going on today. I didn't even have a picture until close to midnight. Did a bunch of scrapping and while i was doing that, i was eating Easter candy. Way too much Easter candy. The candy need to be thrown out because there really is no way for me to justify eating this much candy so late at night, other than the fact that it was just there calling my name =) and yes, that is the whole bowl in the background next to wear i sit and work.

Day 96

The day started with my mom and I dropping uncle Ronnie off at the airport. He is headed to Thailand again and should be back around the 4th of July. When we dropped him off, a man got out of the car in front of us and it was Kiefer Sutherland! So that was kinda exciting. Not to mention the peace and quiet we will get now that Ronnie is gone!! lol.

After the airport, we drove straight out to Disneyland to meet up with my cousins Nick and Veronika. Nick is on spring break from school, so his dad got him a 2-fer ticket to come with us. It was sooooo crowded. If he hadn't had to buy a ticket i would have left and gone home the moment i saw the crowds. I really enjoy going to the park with someone that doesn't have a season pass because they don't mind waiting in lines and they want to do everything. So it really wasn't that bad of a day, it is just difficult and tiring to have to navigate through that many people all day long.

Day 95

A couple weeks ago we ordered new couches for the living room. Expecting them to be here next weekend, we went a head and put the old ones up on Craig's List. Some one called and wanted to by them, so today they came and picked up the couches. Now we are couch-less. The couch is where i do all my computer work so i had to build a new little area for me to work in. After too long my butt starts to hurt a bit, but all in all it isn't to bad. Notice the dog bed right next to where i sit, Roxy likes to be next to me even though she gives me dirty looks for her bed being on the floor. Even put a pillow under her bed so she is not directly on the floor. Spoiled snot.

Day 94

Happy Easter!!! I always think that Easter is just a whatever holiday, but then it comes around and I remember how much I really love Easter! The day started with Sid waking me up to let me know that we had Easter Baskets from the Easter bunny waiting for us. Yes that is right, I still get an Easter basket. Sid has never not been here on Easter morning so I wonder if my mom would still give me one if he wasn't here. lol. I don't want to find out. My basket consisted of 2 pairs of Easter socks ( i LOVE socks), a couple of DVD's, a sleep mask and a butt-load of candy. We all got candy and Sid got a couple cars and 4 DVD's and Chris got 2 DVD's, a Starbucks gift card (so he could buy the rest of us Starbucks, lol) and some Red Bull energy thingys. Like the guy needs anymore energy.

In the afternoon we got ready and went over to my cousins house for family time and a Easter egg hunt. It was all in all a pretty good day. There was a pretty eventful earthquake in the middle of the day that ended up being a 7.2 based out of Mexicali. I didn't feel it. I have no idea how I didn't feel it. It irritates me because I LOVE earthquakes, so I am always sad when I miss them.

We got home from the Easter party around 5:30. I then colored my hair, watched some TV, edited some pictures, got in the shower and then Chris and I watched one of the DVD's he got in his basket. The Invention Of Lying. I liked it! It wasn't fantastic, but it was entertaining enough. I love Ricky Gervais, so I am always happy when I get to see something with him in it.

And that is pretty much it for my Easter day. Here is a picture of our Easter baskets:

Day 93

I got outta the house today!! What?!?! I know right, I don't leave the house that often for anything other than a family function. But today, Chris and I went and picked up Sid and went to the LA Zoo! It was so much fun, I have so many animal pictures that I have no idea what I am gonna do with them all! The Zoo was super crowded due to the holiday weekend, but we had a blast anyway. Here is one of my favorite pictures of the day. The Meerkats were just the cutest things I have ever seen and the one on the right was such a cute little fat one =)

After we got home from the Zoo, we colored Easter eggs. I try to make a point of doing this with Sid EVERY year. It is "our" thing. We have lots of things, but this one is always a big one. He was super tired from walking around the zoo and he pooped out on the egg decorating after about 4 eggs. So I put him in charge of the camera. I think it is safe to say that he might have gotten about 1 picture of the eggs. But he did take pictures of EVERYTHING else around the house. lol. That kid is crazy.

Day 92

I love Fridays. I love knowing that I get (usually) 2 full days of no work to relax and do whatever I want to do. My cell phone has been acting up lately, so when Chris came over today, he brought me a new one!! It is the same phone I had, just new. No scratches, all the buttons work, it is fabulous =)
